Mark your calendars!

Friday, March 7, 2025, 12pm ET

Don't miss this chance to provide feedback on the CSSB’s Proposed 2025-2028 Strategic Plan during a session hosted by CAFIID and the CSSB.

Background

The Canadian Sustainability Standards Board (CSSB) works to advance the adoption of sustainability disclosure standards in Canada. The CSSB develops Canadian Sustainability Disclosure Standards (CSDS) that align with the global baseline standards developed by the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) – but with modifications to serve the Canadian public interest.

On January 7, 2025, the CSSB released a Proposed 2025-2028 Strategic Plan for public comment. This document lays out the CSSB’s mission, vision, and values that inform and shape its work. It also outlines five proposed strategic priorities that will inform the CSSB’s workplans for 2025-2028 and cover a variety of aspects of the CSSB’s work, such as:

  • Establishing the CSSB as the reference source for sustainability disclosure in Canada

  • Advancing the inclusion of Indigenous Peoples in sustainability standard setting

  • Contributing to the development of international sustainability disclosure standards

  • The CSSB’s role in developing additional sustainability standards and/or guidance

  • Advancing effective communications and outreach with interested and affected parties
